What sessions look like
A small group meets in the same room each week. Two associates lead it, and you share as much as you wish.
The method
Each group has a plan set by its leaders and their supervisor, and the leaders explain it at your first meeting.
What this is not
A group is not a crisis service, and it is not a place to give advice to each other. If you are in crisis, call 988 or 911.
How long
Groups run for a set number of weeks that the leaders tell you before you join.
How it is paid
Your fee comes from the sliding scale and is in writing before you start. Ask which groups have a spot open.

Three questions about this service
Who supervises my associate?
Every associate has a named, licensed supervisor, shown on our team page and beside the associate's name. You can ask at any time what the two of them discuss, and you can ask to meet the supervisor.
What is confidential, and what are the limits?
What you share stays in the session and in your supervised team. The law sets limits: if someone is at serious risk of harm, or a child or an older adult may be abused, we may have to tell others. We explain this in writing before you begin.
What do I do in a crisis?
Call or text 988, any time. In an emergency, call 911. This site and our messages are not monitored around the clock, and Balm is not an emergency service.
