Care
Couples therapy with a supervised associate
Sessions for two people who want a calm space to talk, with time enough for both of you to be heard.

What to expect
What couples therapy looks like here
Who it helps
Two adults, married or not, who want to talk with a neutral person in the room.
What sessions look like
Eighty minutes, so each of you has time. Your associate may ask each of you questions, and may sometimes see you one at a time.
The method
Associates use structured couples methods from their training. They explain the approach they chose and why.
What this is not
It is not a place to decide who is right. If either of you feels unsafe at home, tell your associate, or call 988 or 911.
How often
Many couples meet every week or two at first. You set the pace together with your associate.
How it is paid
Your fee comes from the sliding scale and is in writing before you start. Both of you share one fee.

Questions
Three questions about this service
Who supervises my associate?
Every associate has a named, licensed supervisor, shown on our team page and beside the associate's name. You can ask at any time what the two of them discuss, and you can ask to meet the supervisor.
How often, and for how long?
Most people meet weekly at first. Individual sessions are 50 minutes and couples sessions are 80. You and your associate set the pace, and we do not promise a number of sessions.
What is confidential, and what are the limits?
What you share stays in the session and in your supervised team. The law sets limits: if someone is at serious risk of harm, or a child or an older adult may be abused, we may have to tell others. We explain this in writing before you begin.
