Intake by payer

Start the way you pay

Both paths end the same way: your fee in writing before your first session.

  • If you pay on the sliding scale

Tell us your household size and approximate income. The scale sets your fee for each session, and you have it, with a Good Faith Estimate, in writing before you start.

    • Reduced-fee spots are limited

    • Pay by card after each session

  • If your plan reimburses

Pay the session fee and we give you a monthly itemized receipt to send to your plan. It may reimburse part of an out-of-network visit, and your plan decides.

    • Out of network with all plans

    • The receipt carries a diagnosis code

  • If you are not sure

Call or write. The intake coordinator will go through both paths with you, and there is nothing to decide on the phone.

    • Reply in one business day

Questions

Questions about paying

Do you take my insurance?

We are not in network with any plan, and we do not bill Medicaid or Medicare. You can pay the sliding-scale fee, and we give you an itemized receipt to send to your own plan if it reimburses out-of-network visits.

How do fees work?

Our sliding scale sets your fee from your household's size and income, and you have it in writing before your first session. A limited number of reduced-fee spots are open at a time. We review your fee with you if your finances change.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

If you pay without insurance, you have the right to receive a written estimate of what your care will cost before you start. We give you one with your sliding-scale fee. If your final bill is $400 or more above the estimate, you can dispute it. The estimate is not a contract.
